A bespoke HQ building for G. F Tomlinson Building Group. The Commission was the winning submission of a limited design competition by invitation. Our design approach was to maximise the potential of the new building forming a focal point to the vista along Haslam’s Lane, whilst utilising a curved footprint in order to ensure views of the building from all approaches.

The architecture is monolithic, befitting the traditional ethos of the established construction firm, utilising symmetry to provide a strong, central focus to the principal entrance. Detailing to the building is provided with bespoke art-stone around the windows and doors. The Final Scheme was highly commended by Derby Civic Society under the Brighter City of Derby award scheme.
