Comprehensive refurbishment of the original red brick Victorian building refurbishing the existing classrooms from cold, gloomy and un-inspiring, to a 21st Century educational environment, welcoming and accessible, comfortable for teaching and learning. The scheme included a full thermal upgrade, adjusted levels of main approach, upgrade of the entrance doors, lobby and staircase, addition of high quality lighting and a palette of heritage wall colours in order to identify key elements of structure and contemporary floor finishes reflecting the building heritage.  The key to this scheme was to emphasise the quality of the original architecture and maximise the potential of these elements.
