Multi Faith Room opened at Derbyshire County Cricket Club’s Incora Ground.
A programme of improvement works has been completed at The Incora Ground for Derbyshire County Cricket Club. The practice began working with the cricket club in May 2022 on a programme of works to enhance facilities based on the English Cricket Club Welcoming Environments Design Guide published in March 2022.
Phase 1 of the project involved the construction and fit out of a new accessible toilet block including changing places facilities.
Phase 2 was an infill development to the ground floor of the existing Business & Media Center to include new family friendly toilet facilities and a Multi Faith Room.
We have worked closely with the cricket club, community representatives and the English Cricket Board to ensure the facilities meet all guidelines and help make the cricket club one of the most inclusive venues in England.
The layouts and the development of the facilities were dictated by the new English Cricket Board guidelines and the Disability Discrimination Act and will serve as an exemplar example of inclusive facilities as overall they are the first in the UK following the new, revised guidelines.
