Why We’re Excited to Welcome Joe Cattmull to Matthew Montague Architects

At Matthew Montague Architects, we’re driven by a commitment to creating exceptional spaces through innovation and collaboration. To support our growing client base and ambitious projects, we’re thrilled to welcome Architectural Technologist Joe Cattmull to the team.

Joe brings six years of post-qualification experience, with a portfolio spanning small residential extensions, multi-unit distribution parks, and a large apartment scheme in a historic water mill. His technical expertise and versatility make him a perfect fit for our expanding practice.

Joining us at a pivotal moment, Joe will play a key role in exciting projects, including sensitive heritage works at Longstone Hall, a Grade II listed building. He will also contribute to our work in the commercial, education, and master planning sectors, where his passion for urban design and development will shine.

Joe’s professional journey reflects our values of growth and excellence. Having worked at Planning & Design Practice Ltd since 2020, he is now working towards MCIAT accreditation. On a personal note, he’s about to embark on the exciting milestone of becoming a dad for the first time—congratulations, Joe!

Joe’s addition strengthens our ability to deliver exceptional results as we take on transformative projects, including work with Vinci on Derby City’s Northern Quarter, state-of-the-art school sports facilities, and several heritage restorations.

At Matthew Montague Architects, we’re building more than architecture—we’re fostering a team that thrives on shared purpose and passion. We’re confident Joe will make an invaluable contribution to our journey forward.

Welcome to the team, Joe!
