PROJECT OVERVIEW
A new detached contemporary 3 bedroom dwelling comprising two storey and single storey element. The dwelling has a broadly linear layout with the single storey element subservient to the two storey section.
The dwelling is modern in design. It has an oversailing first floor gable, and a variety of materials have been used to break up elements of the design.
Lying within the designated Conservation Area and with a listed building to the north the dwelling has been designed to be relatively small-scale with narrow gables and the two storey element is limited in size. The ground floor layout of the proposal is subservient to the limited two storey section.
The design of the new dwelling is based on the principles of Passivhaus. It includes ground source heat pump, solar and battery power and triple glazing. There are no gas mains.
